The Experiment

Flying Mesh is a multi-media experiment. We captured the xyz location data of the body using Kinect and translated it into Rhino via Quakka — a plug-in for Grasshopper — to control a wind mesh created in Grasshopper.

As the performer moves, the digital mesh responds in real time, creating a flowing, organic form that bridges the physical body and virtual geometry.
